I dirty blvd. nascono nel 2000. Simone, Pierluigi e Vittorio sono tre ragazzi innamorati di punk e rock and roll che trovano la vita che fanno veramente troppo stretta e poco soddisfacente. Sono tutti bravi ragazzi di famiglia con un fuoco che li brucia dal di dentro.

Lavorano sodo perché i loro padri lavorano sodo, non sono teppisti perché i loro idoli non sono teppisti. Se possono si stravolgono con tutto quello che trovano perché è il modo più veloce ed economico per fare un viaggio senza prendere nessun mezzo. La spezia è una città che amano e che odiano in ugual misura. La vita che fanno è una vita che amano e che odiano in ugual misura.

Ci sono gli amici, gli affetti il fatto di diventare adulti e poi magari vecchi rompiballe come tutti. E questo non va un cazzo bene.La fuori (molto fuori),c’è iggy pop, ci sono i ramones, c’è lou reed e un sacco di altre persone che con chitarra, basso e ,batteria sono riuscite a dare un senso più completo alla loro vita. Imitare loro è il pretesto per uscire tutte le sere senza fare niente se non bersi un amaro da due soldi e fumare joint a ripetizione.

A La Spezia tuttavia qualcosa si muove. C’è almeno un club, anzi un circolo, che si evolve per promuovere band autoctone e non, e per dare un seguito a quello che il punk rock internazionale ha insegnato. Fallo comunque e da solo.

Stefano suona con il gruppo di punta di questa scena i sinceri e proprio forti peawees. Faranno parlare tanto di loro insieme ai bravissimi manges;e si leveranno tante soddisfazioni. Il cantante aprirà anche un altro importante locale rock in città. Ma Stefano non ci sarà più. Se ne va dai paewees per motivi personali e un pomeriggio capita a Le grazie (paese dove gironzolano i tre), per caso Quei tre disgraziati di prima lui li conosce già almeno un poco. Loro provavano qualche primordiale sequenza di accordi in una specie di scantinato messo a disposizione dal comune. Ci volle tutto il loro coraggio per chiedere a un musicista del calibro di Stefano di unirsi a loro.lui accettò e il primo giorno di prove quei tre matti pensarono bene di presentarsi in ritardo e sconvolti. Non è dato sapere se fu amore a prima vista o se Stefano ci trovò del buono in quel modo rozzo e primitivo di suonare. Ma le prove continuarono. Dopo aver dato un senso ai primi e non arrangiati pezzi dei già dirty boulevard, cominciarono ad imparare a suonare. Nel piccolo di questa storia quel momento fu la svolta più importante. I dirty boulevard ci credevano davvero.Tutti e quattro insieme si resero conto di non aver più paura di niente. Da un sentimento alieno, suonare in pubblico cominciò ad essere perfettamente naturale.

Le prime date erano quelle della gavetta e che toccano ad ogni complesso che ci prova. Sagre di paese,feste di ogni genere organizzate nei posti più assurdi. Qualche bella serata e tante frustrazioni. Ma quello che importa è che in giro se ne parli.

A settembre 2001 entrano in uno studio di sarzana per registrare una demo che vorrebbero passare per disco. Gianluca Cavallini li registra e li produce, loro stampano le copertine e le magliette . La demo gira nel circuito spezzino tra apprezzamenti e indifferenza. Suonano a modena al rumorilla festival e dove trovano una qualsiasi data. Sono sempre più convinti di rinunciare alle feste di paese che ,a parte la sbronza dopo il concerto, trovano un inutile dispendio di energie e di tempo. Siamo al 2004 i dirty rientrano in uno studio a la spezia per registrare il secondo lavoro. Sarà tutta esperienza ma anche un disastro professionale. La registrazione non sarà mai mixata e nonostante alcuni validi pezzi non diventerà mai un disco fatto e finito.Qui comincia un periodo buio fatto di incomprensioni e prove saltate che porterà vittorio a lasciare la band.

Dopo qualche mese di smarrimento e qualche data in tre i dirty ci riprovano inserendo nella band paolo già ex membro e leader dei lords of the road. Questa band aveva anche suonato qualche volta insieme ai dirty blvd..

L’inserimento del nuovo chitarrista dura quasi un anno speso ad imparare i pezzi e approfondire l’amicizia. Nel 2008 alla skaletta rock club si esibiscono di spalla all’importante Brain James già chitarrista dei mitici damned. L’invito di quest’ultimo a raggiungerlo in Inghilterra per la registrazione di nuovi pezzi, porterà alla realizzazione del primo vero disco targato dirty blvd. Prodotto da brian james e stampato e distribuito dall’etichetta indipendente area pirata, si intitola radiodirty. Undici pezzi complessivi che rimandano a una Londra grigia e rockettara che incontra una New York malsana e decadente. Dopo l’esperienza della registrazione in Inghilterra che sarà un mattone fondamentale nella formazione della band tutto quello che verrà sarà affrontato dal gruppo con uno spirito più professionale ed anche più sereno. Almeno fino alla prossima inevitabile crisi che se non distruggerà contribuirà a rafforzare quella difficile alchimia che permette a quattro persone diverse tra loro di creare un qualcosa di magico e bello .

Dirty Blvd. was born in 2000. Simone, Pierluigi & Vittorio are three guys in love with punk & rock'n'roll who feel their lives really too strict and usatisfying. They're all good family guys with a fire burnin' from the inside.

Thay work hard cause their fathers work hard, they're not hooligans cause their idols are not. If they can they blow their mind with everything they find because it is the faster and cheaper way to travel without takin' means. La Spezia is a town they love and hate in the same way. Their love and hate their lives in the same way.

There are friends, loves, and the fact of growin' up and become old ( ) like everyone else. That's not fuckin' right. Out there (very far) there's Iggy Pop, There's Lou reed, There are the Ramones and a lot of other people with guitar, bass and drums, who gave a more complete sense to their lives. Their imitation is their way to stay out all nights, drinking cheap booze and smoking joints.

Anyway something's moving in La Spezia. There's a club, a small club, which is developing to promote local bands and more, and goin on in which international punk rock teached: Do it Anyway! Do it Youself!

Stefano is playing with one of the leading bands of this scene, the honest and really good Peawees. They will make everybody speak their name together with the skilled Manges: they both will have many gratifications. The peawees singer will start up a new club in La Spezia. But stefano will not be in anymore. He will quit from Peawees for his own reasons, and on lazy afternoon he joins the place were the threes are hangin out. Casually he already knows these three guys, even a little. They are practising some primitive chords sequence in a little basement. They asked stefano to join them and he accepted. The first day of reharsal these three crazy guys were late and completely stoned. Nobody knows if it was love at first sight or anything else, or maybe stefano found some good things in this raw and primitive way of playing. But rearshal went on and on. after giving a kind of sense to the first and not yet arranged songs of Dirty Blvd. they started learning to play. In this small history this was probably the most important turning-point. Dirty Blvd really believed in it! These four guys realized they were not afraid of anything. From an alien feeling, playing in public became natural.

Firs gigs was the ones of the ranks: parties of all kinds organized in the most strange places. Some good nights and lots of frustration. The most important thing is that someone's speaking about it.

On sept. 2001 they go to a studio to record a demo. Gianluca Cavallini is producing it, they press covers and t-shirts. This demo is passing in the city hands throught appreciations and indifference. They play everywhere they can find a gig.

Now it's 2004 and dirty blvd. reach again a studio in La Spezia to record their second playing. It will be all experience but also a professional disaster. This recording will never be mixed and, in spite of some good songs, it will never be a complete long playing. Here starts an obscure period made of misunderstandings and quitted reharsals wich will make Vittorio leave the band.

After several moths of confusion and some gigs played with three-based line up, they decide to try again. They ask Paolo to join dirty blvd. He already shared the stage with them with his previous band: the lords of the road.

This restarting period lasts almost one year, spent to learn song and making friendship become deeper.

In 2008, at skaletta rock club, they played opening act for the Brian James Gang. He was guitar player of legendary Damned and Lords of the new church. He invited them to reach Brighton (UK) to record new songs in their studio, under his production. This will bring to realize the first real dirty Blvd. record: radiodirty, released by the italian label Area Pirata. totally 11 songs which remind a grey and rocking london meeting a filthy and decadent new york. The experience of Brighton recording has been a very important point in their journey. This will bring to a new approach in their way of living and playing... up to their next and inevitable crisis which, if will not destroy them, will contribute to make stronger that difficult alchemy which allows four people completely different between them to create something magic and beautiful.
